What data do we hold and why?

In order to allow me to start and continue to provide you with a safe and beneficial service, you provide me with details such as name, email, mobile phone number. You also provide lifestyle and personal health information, depending on the service you access.

How do we keep your data safe?

Data and other personal details are kept on secure servers in the UK with appropriate technologies that safeguard all information.

Who do we share the data with?

Personal details given will not be passed on, sold or used in any way other than to contact you and to give you the information and updates you have requested. Your email address will not be passed to any third parties.

However, we may share your Data with the following groups of people for the following reasons:

Our employees, agents and/or professional advisors.

Relevant authorities where legal obligations require Bernadette Kirwan Therapies to share relevant information.

How do we ensure the data is accurate?

Any information we hold is, to my knowledge, accurate and up to date. If you wish to check that information is accurate, please contact us in writing or by email. If you believe that the information that we have is inaccurate, you can ask that it be corrected or removed, subject to the legal requirements mentioned below.

How long do we retain data?

Professional associations require that we retain your records for up to 7 years, and for children for up to 7 years after the age of majority, therefore up to the age of 25 years. We retain records of coaching sessions for up to 2 years following the last coaching session. We are obliged by HM Revenue to retain financial accounts information for 7 years.

After these periods of time you can, if you wish, request that your records are deleted. To do this, just let us know in writing or by email. If you do not request that records be deleted, they will be retained in order that we can provide you with the best possible care if you decide to return for therapy at some future date.
